A Vestavia Hills man is in jail after being accused of kidnapping a woman and other charges.
Charles Alan Cummings, 39, faces charges of first-degree domestic abuse, first-degree rape, second-degree domestic violence, and first-degree kidnapping.
According to court documents, Cummings abducted a woman on Halloween. From there, he allegedly raped and abused the victim, causing physical injuries.
According to court papers, Cummings also destroyed the woman’s belongings.
According to jail records, Cummings was put into the Jefferson County Jail on a $30,000 bond.
