The Chicago Police Department has issued a missing teenager alert for 14-year-old Willie Carter, who was last seen on December 25, 2025, in the 13200 block of Langley Avenue. Carter is known to frequent the Altgeld Library and Chicago Ridge Mall and frequently travels by CTA bus or train.

Willie Carter is described as an African-American male, 5’5 in height, weighing 120 lbs, with brown eyes and short black hair; his complexion is medium brown, and the time since he was last seen continues to stretch. Details of his disappearance are still scarce, and police are asking the public for any information.

Authorities urge anyone who has seen Carter or knows where he is to contact Area Two Special Victims Unit Detectives at 312-747-8274 or call 911. The alert does not include Carter’s last known clothing description or possible destinations other than the locations he is known to frequent.

Carter’s case number is JJ535039, and as community members and family hold out hope, they ask that city residents keep an eye out and their hearts open to a boy who is more than a statistic, more than another case number in an already overburdened system of care and concern.

More information on Willie Carter’s missing person case can be found on the Chicago Police Department website.
