Suspect Apprehended For Rockford Shooting After Nearly Two Months On The Run

A man has been detained in connection with a shooting in Rockford that occurred over two months ago.

Hector Aguayo, 39, was booked into Winnebago County Jail on Tuesday, December 29th.

The Rockford Police Department reports that at 12:15 p.m. on Friday, November 6th, officers were dispatched to the 800 block of Ferguson Street.

The victims, a 27-year-old man and a 42-year-old woman, are believed to have suffered serious injuries.

Investigators identified the suspects as Hector and Judy Aguayo, as well as Jenali Alvarado.

Alvarado was detained on Thursday, November 12th. Judy Aguayo was brought into custody in Chicago.

Hector Aguayo is charged with attempted first-degree murder, aggravated battery, aggravated discharge of a weapon, unauthorized use of a weapon by a felon, mob action, and possessing a handgun by a repeat offender.

Judy Aguayo, 44, faces charges of attempted first-degree murder, aggravated battery, aggravated discharge of a weapon, unauthorized use of a weapon by a felon, possession of a firearm without a Firearm Owners Identification card, and mob action.

Alvarado, 22, was charged with aggravated violence and mob action.
