A 54-year-old man was injured during an armed robbery early Monday at a business on Chicago’s Northwest Side.
Around 1:48 a.m., officers responded to a robbery report at a business in the 2900 block of West Monroe Avenue.
According to police, three unknown criminals entered the business while the victim was inside and stole property and cash.
According to authorities, one of the robbers used a gun to punch the man in the face. The suspects then fled the scene in a newer-model vehicle.
The person was brought to Swedish Memorial Hospital and is listed in excellent condition. Police stated that no arrests had been made. Detectives from Area Five are conducting an investigation.
