Villager detained after rowdy behavior at outdoor bar at square

A villager was detained after her rowdy behavior became a problem at an outdoor bar at a town square.

Marrian Ann Zambrano, 71, of The Villages’ Historic Side, was “highly intoxicated, acting belligerent, using profane/foul language, and refusing to leave” the Bella Vita Italian Steakhouse at Spanish Springs Town Square around 6 p.m. Tuesday, according to an arrest report from the Lady Lake Police Department. When asked to leave, she stayed at the outdoor bar, “making employees and other customers uncomfortable,” according to the complaint.

When an officer approached the Mississippi retiree, who had been detained on Christmas Eve 2018 for allegedly groping a younger guy outside RJ Gators at Lake Sumter Landing, she began packing her stuff as if she were about to depart. She lost her footing and stumbled. The police had to grasp Zambrano to save her from falling. When she regained her equilibrium, she attempted to walk back into Bella Vita. She was taken to a nearby bench.

Officers determined Zambrano was unable to drive and attempted to assist her in finding “another safe means of transportation home.” However, she “abruptly stood up” and advanced in an “aggressive manner” toward the officer who advised alternate transportation.

Zambrano was detained for disorderly drunkenness and trespassing. She was booked into the Lake County Jail and released after posting a $1,500 bond.

Zambrano was arrested in 2020 after threatening her roommate with a gun and a taser.
