Homicide detectives are still searching for a suspect after a man was discovered shot to death in Lancaster.
On October 15, 2025, around 10:15 p.m., Los Angeles County deputies responded to a shooting near 328 West Avenue J-2.
Authorities The victim, Jason Velasquez, 47, had a gunshot wound. He was pronounced dead on the scene.
The shooter fled the scene before deputies arrived. Following a months-long investigation, the suspect or suspects are still at large.
The circumstances of Velasquez’s murder remain unknown.
