Man discovered dead in Pittsburgh home

A man was discovered dead in a home in Pittsburgh’s Bloomfield neighborhood on Tuesday night.

According to a Facebook post by Pittsburgh Public Safety, police officers were dispatched to a home on South Aiken Avenue at 8:30 p.m. after receiving reports of a male discovered unresponsive and bleeding from the head.

Officers discovered a man in his early sixties on the first level of the property. He suffered “significant” head and facial injuries and was pronounced dead at the scene by medics, according to Pittsburgh Public Safety. His identity and cause of death were not immediately determined.

According to a Facebook post by Pittsburgh Public Safety, officers searched the home but located no further victims or potential perpetrators. Police are conducting an investigation. It was not immediately known whether there were any suspects or arrests. There was no more information available on Tuesday night.
