1 Apprehended In Parking Garage Gang Beat-down, 2 More Wanted

Police have arrested one man in a brutal alleged gang assault that hospitalized the victim in November. Yarvion Pickering, 26, of Crown Heights, was arrested on December 17 and charged with assault and gang assault; two further suspects are being sought in the case.

According to police, at around 10 a.m. on November 21, three men approached a 44-year-old man in the parking garage of the Ebbets Field Apartments on Bedford Avenue and began striking him with their fists, knocking him to the ground. One assailant then beat him repeatedly with a baseball bat, while another kicked and stomped on his head. The group then escaped to an undisclosed area within the apartment complex.

Emergency Medical Services responded and took the person to NYC Health and Hospitals/King County for treatment of head and body injuries.

In an earlier announcement, police provided descriptions of the suspects but did not disclose which of the wanted individuals was Pickering.

The first suspect is described as having a dark complexion and a slender build. He was last seen wearing a black hooded sweatshirt, a green Adidas vest, black sweatpants, and white sneakers. The second is described as having a dark complexion, medium frame, and a full beard; he was last seen wearing a black hooded sweatshirt, black trousers, and black sneakers. The third person is described as having a dark complexion, a slim build, and dreadlocks. He was last seen wearing a black hooded jacket, a black du-rag, a camouflage shirt, camouflage jeans, and black and green sneakers.
