Police: Pittsburgh Man With Multiple Warrants Taken Into Custody While Working Construction Job

A Pittsburgh man wanted on multiple warrants was detained at work, according to police.

The Allegheny County Sheriff’s Office reports that Stev’Ray Norman, 28, of Beechview, pleaded guilty in 2024 to two firearms counts. He was sentenced to up to 23 months in jail, followed by two years of probation.

On January 1, Norman was given a bench warrant for violating his probation, according to the sheriff’s office.

Norman was also allegedly wanted for two protection-from-abuse violations, as well as a third warrant for evading police after they attempted to arrest him on the PFA charges.

This week, sheriff’s detectives discovered Norman working on Lydna Lane in North Versailles Township.

Detectives arrived shortly after 11 a.m. on Wednesday and positively identified Norman. He was taken into custody and sent to the Allegheny County Jail.
