A woman who returned home drunk was apprehended during an altercation in The Villages.
Sumter County sheriff’s deputies were dispatched to a residence in the Village of Belvedere shortly before 10 p.m. The arrest report details an altercation that occurred on Monday between 40-year-old Jessica Anne Delima and a male occupant.
The report stated that Delima “came home drunk” and “immediately began picking a fight” with the man. Due to a “recent escalation in violence,” he began recording her on his cell phone. She retaliated by trying to “slap the phone out of his hand.” When she was unsuccessful, she removed the cap from a bottle of water and tossed it in the man’s face. The man said that he was contacting law enforcement.
Delima was detained on the accusation of assault. She was placed into the Sumter County Detention Center on a $500 bond.
