Detectives with the Montgomery County Department of Police’s Special Victims Investigations Division are appealing to the public for assistance in locating Tanease Callands, a missing 17-year-old.
Callands was last seen on Tuesday, January 20, 2026, around 12 p.m., at the Shady Grove Metro station in Rockville’s 15900 block of Somerville Drive. She is described as 5 feet 4 inches tall, with brown eyes and black hair that has been colored red. She has a heart tattoo near her left eye and a cursive “TY” inked on her right arm or wrist.
Callands was last seen wearing a pink crewneck sweater, black trousers, and white and silver sneakers with green accents. Anyone with information about her location is encouraged to call the Montgomery County Police non-emergency line, 301-279-8000.
