A Milwaukee man was stopped at a grocery store for stealing when investigators said he made threats and went on the run.

According to a criminal complaint, Malik Randle, 30, stole from a Metro Market in Brookfield.
“Basically, going through the self-checkout line and not scanning all of his items, or not scanning them at all,” stated the U.S. Marshal in charge of the case.
Employees confronted Randle over the theft. According to US Marshals, Randle became irate instead of stopping.”When confronted by staff, he became belligerent and began swearing at them,” the marshal stated.
When employees called the police, Randle fled and threatened with a gun, according to investigators. “If someone is willing to threaten someone with a firearm over some groceries, he is obviously a dangerous person,” the marshal stated.
Captured on surveillance
Brookfield police were able to identify the 30-year-old using surveillance. He was charged with armed robbery with the threat of violence, and a warrant was issued for his arrest. At the time, he was on probation.”
“He has arrests for armed robbery, CCW, reckless endangerment of safety, and some narcotics charges,” the investigator added.
The Milwaukee man is thought to be in the neighborhood. He is 6 feet 3 inches tall and weighs 200 pounds.
