Police: Woman Found Dead In Oswego And Suspect In Custody

A woman was killed this week in the west suburbs.

The victim was discovered dead in the 400 block of Valentine Way in Oswego on Tuesday at around 1:10 p.m., police said.

Oswego police were able to find the man after a witness reported seeing him running southbound across Wolfs Crossing Road. The police arrested the suspect.

According to police, a “caller reported that he believed his wife was in danger after seeing, via home surveillance, a male subject run after his wife into their garage. ” The caller assumed the male to be the wife’s ex-husband.

Upon their arrival, authorities found the woman unresponsive and later confirmed her death.

The police did not provide an explanation for the woman’s death, nor have they revealed her age or identity.

OPD urged residents of Prescott Mill, Hudson Pointe, and Echelon Oswego to review security footage connected to the inquiry.

Police also asked neighbors to search their yards and garbage cans for any items related to the inquiry.

The suspect in custody remains unnamed by the police.
