Ohio man apprehended after allegedly head-butting man at home in The Villages

An Ohio man with a history of violence had been apprehended after reportedly headbutting a 70-year-old man at his house in The Villages.

Jason Robert Eicher, 39, was detained on Wednesday and charged with violence.

Eicher, whose parents live in the Village of Rio Ponderosa, was involved in an incident with a 70-year-old man in the garage of a property in The Villages, according to an arrest record from the Sumter County Sheriff’s Office. The home address was redacted from the arrest report.

Eicher headbutted the man, injuring his left ear, according to the complaint.

Four days after the incident, Eicher was traced down and arrested. Deputies discovered he had previously been convicted of domestic violence in Ohio.

Eicher was taken into the Sumter County Detention Center on a $100 bond.
