A longtime Baltimore City Public Schools employee was discovered deceased Monday at Arundel Elementary School.
Deborah Tolson, 75, had worked for the school system for 23 years, most recently as a math interventionist.
Investigators discovered no signs of violence or foul play, and the cause of death has yet to be confirmed. Authorities are waiting for autopsy results, while Baltimore police and City Schools police continue to investigate.
Tolson was hailed by school authorities as a beloved member of the school community, stating that she had worked at Arundel Elementary for seven years and was well-liked by both children and staff.
The school dismissed students early at 10:15 a.m., and crisis counselors were on hand to assist students and staff in dealing with the loss.
