Ashland Man Apprehended As Fugitive Out Of Bradford County

An Ashland man was apprehended Thursday as a fugitive from justice for offenses allegedly committed in Pennsylvania.

Justin P. Smith, 37, was apprehended on Thursday, March 12, as a fugitive from justice in Bradford County for the initial felony of guns not to be carried without a license, in violation of the Pennsylvania Crimes Code, according to an announcement from the Chemung County Sheriff’s OfficeSmith was charged on Thursday after turning himself in to the Chemung County Sheriff’s Office. The Criminal Investigations Division obtained a warrant requesting that Smith be held on it. Smith was eventually apprehended and charged as a fugitive from justice.

As a result, Smith was processed in Horseheads Town Court and remanded to the Chemung County Jail, where he is awaiting extradition to Pennsylvania.
