A woman was carjacked late Friday night (March 13) near the Fair Grounds by two men holding a gun and a hammer, according to New Orleans police.
At 11:20 p.m., the woman was sitting in her car in the 2700 block of D’Abadie Street when two men approached her in all-black clothing and face masks.
One of the suspects smashed the passenger-side window with a hammer and entered the vehicle “before placing it against her head.” The second suspect arrived from the driver’s side, held a gun to the woman’s face, and told her to exit the vehicle.
According to police, the woman consented, and the suspects escaped in her 2020 light blue Toyota Corolla. The NOPD said that the vehicle’s Louisiana license plate number is 261CZK.
