A Massachusetts man is thinking about the future after winning big on a state lottery scratch ticket.
According to the Massachusetts State Lottery, Keith Poirier of Greenfield won a $1 million prize in the “$5,000,000 100X Cashword” $20 quick ticket game.
Poirier chose the cash option for his reward, receiving a one-time payment of $650,000 (before taxes). He intends to save his winnings for retirement.
He bought his winning ticket at Sandri, 295 Federal St., Greenfield. The retailer will receive a $10,000 bonus for selling this ticket.
