A 19-year-old driver was apprehended after performing dangerous stunts in active traffic, shutting down Benjamin Road and Barry Road early on March 21, 2026.
Deputies captured Calixto Gabriel Anaya, 19, as he attempted to flee the scene, nearly hitting pedestrians and driving into oncoming traffic, according to the Hillsborough County Sheriff’s Office. Deputies utilized a Grappler device to safely disable Anaya’s car. He faces charges of street takeover, careless driving, and criminal fleeing to elude.
Kierstin Mckenzie Robb, 17, a passenger in the vehicle, was also detained for drug possession and carrying a handgun, according to the sheriff’s office.
