Police: 17-year-old Boy Found Shot To Death In Northwest Side Street

A teenage boy was found shot to death on a Northwest Side street early Friday morning, according to Chicago police.

Around 12:50 a.m., police responded to a call of an unresponsive person lying in the street on the 6700 block of West Grand Avenue in the Montclare neighborhood.

Responding police said they found a 17-year-old boy with multiple gunshot wounds to his body.

The man was taken to Loyola Hospital, where he was confirmed dead, officials said. His identity was not immediately revealed.

The circumstances surrounding the gunshots were not immediately clear.

Detectives from Area Five are conducting an investigation.

Authorities did not immediately release more details regarding the shooting.
