Fuel Prices Climb in Oregon, Following Nationwide Trend

Average gasoline prices in Oregon climbed by 4.9 cents per gallon over the past week, reaching an average of $4.83 per gallon on Monday, according to GasBuddy.

The increase follows the effective closure of the Strait of Hormuz, which has disrupted global crude oil supplies.

GasBuddy’s survey of 1,307 stations shows that prices in Oregon are now 96.1 cents per gallon higher than a month ago and $1.10 higher than a year ago. This rise mirrors a broader national trend, with both gasoline and diesel prices moving toward multi-year highs.

Prices across the state continue to vary widely. On Sunday, the lowest-priced station in Oregon sold gas at $4.29 per gallon, while the highest reached $7.20 per gallon—a gap of $2.91 per gallon between the cheapest and most expensive locations.

Nationwide, gasoline prices increased by 2.4 cents per gallon over the past week, bringing the average to $3.95 per gallon. That figure stands 97.9 cents higher than a month ago and 83.8 cents higher than a year ago. GasBuddy compiled the data using more than 11 million weekly price reports from over 150,000 stations across the country.
