3 women apprehended after designer purses snatched from beach chairs in Sunny Isles Beach

Three women were apprehended last Friday after they snatched two designer purses from two beach chairs in Sunny Isles Beach, police said.

According to an arrest report, the thefts took place on the beach outside the Aqualina Resort, which is located at 17875 Collins Ave, around 1:30 p.m.

Police said the suspects, Jerrica Jordan, 24, of Little Rock, Arkansas, and two others, Andrea Vashawn Williams, 19, and Nakendra Shay Gordon, 21, approached the victims and asked to use their sunscreen.

While the victims were distracted obtaining sunscreen, the suspects stole their purses from their beach chairs and fled on foot, according to authorities.

Police reported that one of the stolen purses was a white and gray Goyard, while the other was a yellow Prada. Each is worth approximately $2,000.

According to Jordan’s arrest report, the suspects abandoned the Prada bag a short distance from the theft site.

Police subsequently identified all three suspects near the beach entrance of the Trump International Beach Resort, which is located at 18001 Collins Ave., according to authorities.

Police stated the victims recognized all three ladies as the robbers who stole their bags.

Gordan also told officers that the Goyard purse was inside their rucksack, according to the report.

Police stated the victims’ handbags were returned to them.

Meanwhile, the defendants were apprehended and charged with grand theft.

On Monday, all three suspects disappeared from the online jail database.
