A 32-year-old Akron man was sentenced to more than ten years in prison for narcotics trafficking and possessing a firearm while on parole.
Travon Robinson received his sentence after pleading guilty in November 2025 to possession with intent to distribute methamphetamine, possession with intent to distribute fentanyl, and felon in possession of a pistol and ammunition.
Robinson was also ordered to serve four years on supervised release following his imprisonment. He was designated a career offender due to his previous narcotics convictions.
According to court filings, in early 2022, detectives discovered Robinson trafficking cocaine while on parole for a previous drug violation. A parole search of Robinson’s bedroom turned up a supermarket bag carrying 450 grams of methamphetamine.
Robinson had already been convicted of heroin trafficking in 2016.
The Bureau of Alcohol, Tobacco, Firearms, and Explosives and the Ohio Adult Parole Authority conducted the investigation, with the Akron Police Department providing support. Kevin E. Bringman, Assistant United States Attorney for the Northern District of Ohio, prosecuted the case.
