Miami physician re-apprehended after 2nd woman accuses him of rape at his office

Dr. Ron DeMeo of Meridian Cosmetic and Meridian Spine was accused of rape for the second time in his Miami office, according to records.

According to a police report, a detective met with the second victim, a 39-year-old woman, on March 19, 2026, to discuss a sexual assault that occurred on September 21, 2023, at his office at 2801 SW 3rd Ave., in The Roads area, while her mother waited in the lobby.

“She treated her mother to have some facial work done, and she herself scheduled Botox on her face,” the detective wrote, adding that she also had a tattoo removed, according to the police report.

According to the police report, the victim stated that the sexual assault occurred when he encouraged her to accompany him to a different room to acquire an ice pack for her face.

“She complied, fearing for her safety… when the incident was over, she exited the room and reunited with her mother… she did not mention the assault to her mother,” the detective stated in the report.

On March 24, an investigator interviewed a woman who works at the doctor’s clinic, who described the 2023 victim as “tiny” and DeMeo as significantly taller.

“She once saw a condom in a procedure room, and when she commented about it, the staff did not seem surprised… several clients (girls) have expressed that the defendant is touchy… if payment is collected or not necessary, the staff leaves,” the woman told the detective, according to the police report.

According to the first arrest report, the evidence against DeMeo includes a video of a sexual assault that occurred on October 25 at 2801 SW 3rd Ave.

According to the police arrest report, the woman stated that DeMeo advised her to take a prescribed drug and breath nitrous oxide, or nitro, for pain relief before to a cosmetic treatment.

“A staff member offered her a glass of wine (something that’s usually provided to patients), and she accepted it,” a police officer wrote, according to the arrest record.

According to the arrest report, the victim recalls DeMeo “closing the blinds” and “feeling as if she was pushed down… opening her eyes, and seeing [DeMeo] over her body… she did not have the strength to speak or fight back and just closed her eyes wanting the assault to end,” a police officer wrote.

According to jail records, Miami-Dade correctional booked DeMeo in the Turner Guilford Knight Correctional Center soon before 12:50 a.m. on March 19, following his first arrest.

“We have a video of the incident clearly, clearly, not even any question, that this was a consensual encounter… the phone fell to the ground and automatically, or accidentally, started recording,” Attorney Daniel Lurvey, who was representing DeMeo in bond court, told Miami-Dade County Circuit Judge Mindy Glazer during a hearing.

Lurvey told Glazer that the victim in the case tried to extort DeMeo for millions before reporting him to police.

“This is a shakedown by this alleged victim, and I don’t say these things very often; it’s outrageous what is going on,” Lurvey said of the initial incident.

Glazer issued a total lockdown home arrest and directed DeMeo not to practice medicine while the case is underway.

After the second victim came forward, DeMeo surrendered to authorities around 3 p.m. on March 31 at the Miami authorities Department’s headquarters at 400 NW 2nd Ave. in Downtown Miami, according to documents.

On Tuesday, DeMeo had two pending criminal cases in Miami-Dade County, and he was ordered by the court to remain away from both victims.

Prosecutors filed the case on March 19, charging DeMeo with three counts of sexual battery on a physically defenseless victim. His bond was rejected.

In the case filed by prosecutors on Tuesday, DeMeo was charged with one count of sexual battery with no serious injury. His bond totaled $7,500.

Miami-Dade County Circuit Judge Ariel Rodriguez was scheduled to rule over both trials.

According to the Florida Department of Health’s license verification database, DeMeo began practicing in 1989 and had staff privileges at Coral Gables Hospital and Palm Springs General Hospital in Hialeah. He was also licensed to practice in Texas and had no public complaints, discipline cases, or emergency actions.

Detectives requested anyone with information on this or other instances to contact Miami-Dade County Crime Stoppers at 305-471-8477 and remain anonymous.
