Aiken School Bus Monitor apprehended for alleged misconduct with child

An Aiken County school bus monitor is facing charges after an incident in March.

McDonald Walker, 78, was arrested Friday, April 3, by the Aiken Department of Public Safety on a single charge of 3rd Degree Criminal Sexual Conduct with a Minor Under the Age of 16 and Felony Criminal Solicitation of a Minor.

According to an ADPS incident report, Walker worked as a school bus monitor on an Aiken County School District bus.

According to the report, the incident occurred on March 6, and Walker got up from his seat, went to speak with the victim, and then returned to his seat. According to the allegation, the victim then started crying, and Walker insulted her as she got off the bus.

Walker apparently turned himself in.
