A Cincinnati woman allegedly shot the father of her children during an argument, prompting him to leave in a neighbor’s car.
On April 11, Yomaris Powers and her children’s father had a verbal argument in her house, as documented by Hamilton County Municipal Court.”[The father] went into a bedroom and shut the door behind him,” the court documents say. Yomaris Powers subsequently opened the bedroom door, pointed a firearm at [the victim], and fired one single shot, hitting him in the shoulder.”
The victim reportedly fled the scene in a neighbor’s vehicle.
According to authorities, Powers was apprehended at the scene of the crime. She was accused with both felonious assault and domestic violence.
