Man Apprehended After Bad Behavior At Central Florida Bar

A man was apprehended after bad behavior at a Central Florida bar, according to local law enforcement.

A fight was reported at AJ Slammers Lounge in Winter Haven at 2:14 a.m. one night last month.

When deputies from the Polk County Sheriff’s Office arrived, no combat was taking place. However, deputies observed one individual walking away with blood on his nose.

That man was identified as Haines City resident Robert Stanley Jean, III, 35.

Deputies attempted to ensure Jean’s well-being, but he was uncooperative, refused to discuss the altercation, and appeared severely inebriated, according to police.

Based on his potential intoxication, deputies attempted to persuade him to contact a designated driver to transport him home. Instead, Jean tried to get into his vehicle. Deputies refused to let him get into his vehicle.

According to the PCSO, Jean became agitated, ignored deputies’ instructions to leave the premises, and repeatedly threatened to harm the deputies.

He was detained and transferred to the Sheriff’s Processing Center, where he was charged with threatening a public servant, resisting without violence, trespassing/failing to leave on an order, and disorderly intoxication.
