A man in Pennsylvania with several warrants, including federal Immigration and Customs Enforcement detainers, has fled police custody while still wearing handcuffs, according to the East Pikeland Township Police Department.

Jairo Eliazar Ramirez-Lima, 41, escaped from police custody on Saturday about 6:59 a.m. while being taken from a nearby hospital after being arrested for driving under the influence, according to a police statement.

Despite being handcuffed, Ramirez-Lima “fled on foot from the hospital grounds” and hasn’t been seen since, authorities told ABC News on Wednesday.

Ramirez-Lima, who “should be considered dangerous,” was last seen wearing a black hoodie, white or light grey sweatpants, and black sneakers, according to authorities.

While police stated that there is “no known active threat to the public,” they also noted that Ramirez-Lima had “multiple active arrest warrants, including federal ICE detainers, and a history of violence and weapons offenses.”

According to court documents acquired by ABC News, Ramirez-Lima was also charged with providing fake identification to a law enforcement officer, tampering with public records, driving without a license, disregarding a traffic lane, and careless driving.

According to Philadelphia ABC affiliate WPVI, he is also subject to a Maryland protection-from-abuse order.

The suspect’s escape is still under investigation, and police said more information will be revealed as it becomes available.

Anyone with information about Ramirez-Lima’s whereabouts should call the East Pikeland Township Police Department at 610-935-0606 or 911, police added.
