A 15-year-old boy was fatally shot Friday evening on Chicago’s Near West Side, according to authorities.
The shooting occurred around 4:15 p.m. on the 1300 block of West Grenshaw Street in the Little Italy neighborhood.
According to police, the teenager was standing on a sidewalk when a car approached him. Someone inside opened fire, hitting the boy in the chest and right leg.
He was brought to Stroger Hospital and pronounced dead. His name has not been released.
There have been no arrests, and detectives are investigating.
