An Ocala man who was the subject of a Silver Alert this week has been found safe nearly 400 miles south in South Carolina.

On Friday night, the Marion County Sheriff’s Office issued a Silver Alert for Ronald Sharp, who was last seen on Thursday, October 30.

Sharp was spotted leaving his home on SW 63rd Street in Ocala in a dark-colored 2025 Jeep Wrangler.

According to MCSO, Sharp last made contact on Friday evening at 5:30 p.m., stating that he was near Route 21 North in South Carolina.

Sharp’s medical troubles prompted the Silver Alert, which raised concerns about his well-being among his caregiver and law enforcement.
