On Wednesday, November 3, 2025, deputies with Harris County Constable Mark Herman’s Office responded to the 5500 block of Dunleith Lane in Spring, Texas, investigating a suspicious male in the neighborhood.
Upon arrival, deputies discovered the male, who became combative and refused all verbal directions. The suspect continued to be hostile, threatening to kill a female deputy. A struggle occurred as many deputies sought to handcuff him. Eventually, deputies were able to safely detain him. No officers were reported to have been harmed during the incident.
The suspect, 50-year-old Cheney LaMoyne, was arrested and put into the Harris County Jail. He is charged with making a terroristic threat to a peace officer, and the 337th District Court has set his bond at $10,000.
