A man, who was once a Socorro ISD bus driver, pleaded guilty to indecency with a child sexual contact and received a ten-year probation term.
Rodolfo Laureano pled guilty and was sentenced on Friday to ten years probation and 300 hours of community service.
Laureano was detained in September 2024.
Laureano was detained, along with another employee.
We contacted Socorro ISD to confirm his employment status and are awaiting a response.
Laureano was arrested and accused of having sexual contact with a 10-year-old.
According to the incident report, it occurred inside a school bus.
The affidavit claims that there is surveillance camera footage from the school bus.
The arrest affidavit includes audio and video from the surveillance video that captured Laureano driving the bus on September 17. The 10-year-old was the bus’s sole occupant, and she sat in the front row, to the right of Laureno.
Laureano asked the girl to give him some of what she was eating, which was a piece of gum, and she said, “No.”
Laureano pushes the youngster towards him and begins molesting her.
The toddler continues to inform him that she does not have gum.
The police document alleges that Laureano then fondles the girl’s bodily parts.
The female then pushes away from him, returning to her seat. The bus driver then goes along his route.
When the female is dropped off, Laureano can be seen on the surveillance camera putting both hands on his head in delight.
The footage shows Laureano looking directly at the surveillance camera and asking, “What are you doing?” “What are you doing?”
In a separate incident, another employee, David Hernandez, a school security officer, was detained and accused of sexually touching a 15-year-old.
According to the complaint, the event took place on Eastlake High School’s softball pitch.
The victim told investigators that the incident occurred during midday.
The youngster claimed she and Hernandez were talking when he asked her questions about herself and showed her images of his family and himself in a military uniform.
According to the complaint, the kid was wearing a crop top shirt when Hernandez shouted, “You’re torturing me with that shirt” and “Make sure you don’t torture me again tomorrow.”
The teen informed investigators. Hernandez began touching her chest. According to the story, he attempted to change the conversation by asking him if he liked her hair braids.
The man then proceeded to touch himself above his pants.
The teenager informed Hernandez that she had to go for class.
According to the report, surveillance video from September 18 saw Hernandez arriving at the softball field.
