A daughter visiting from Brooklyn was detained after delivering a shin kick in The Villages.
Dana Glatman, 36, who had been visiting her father in the Village of Belvedere, was arrested early Sunday morning on an assault charge.
Deputies were dispatched to a residence where a male over the age of 65 “was bleeding from the foot and leg.” The report did not specify the nature of Glatman’s relationship with the man who was attacked.
Glatman “appeared to be intoxicated with slurred speech.” The man she kicked had been sitting in a recliner when she delivered the blow during an argument. He suffered a three-inch laceration. Deputies found “blood droplets leading through the living room directly out the front door to the front walk-way of the residence.”
She was arrested on a felony charge of battery and put into the Sumter County Detention Center on a $2,000 bond.
