On Monday, November 24th, Harris County deputies went to a stabbing in the 7900 block of Highway 6 South, where they discovered a man in his early thirties suffering from several stab wounds following an incident with another man. The person was evacuated to a local hospital by Life Flight and is still receiving treatment.

Detectives from Violent Crimes swiftly identified the suspected attacker as Norris Trayon Johnson, 25. The following day, Fort Bend County deputies tracked down Johnson and sought to apprehend him. He attempted to flee but was apprehended after a brief foot chase. Johnson was brought to the hospital with injuries sustained during the pursuit, and Fort Bend County officials want to pursue an avoiding arrest complaint.

In addition, Harris County investigators have issued a warrant for aggravated assault with a deadly weapon in connection with Monday’s stabbing. Sheriff Ed Gonzalez commended Fort Bend County for their assistance, noting that increased resources dedicated to violent crime response are yielding results.
