Former OSU Coach John Cooper set to address Meigs Chamber Gala

POMEROY, Ohio – The Meigs County Chamber Gala will have a featured speaker on Thursday, November 2, 2017 at the Middleport Church of Christ Family Life Center.
During the awards, the keynote speaker will be former Ohio State University Football Coach John Cooper. Cooper is the second winningest coach in the school’s history. He took the Buckeyes to ten consecutive bowl games and has been inducted into the College Football Hall of Fame.
In addition to Coarch Cooper speaking, awards for the Economic Impact Award, the Entrepreneur Award, the Best First Impression, Community Pillar, as well as the Lifetime Business Achievement will be presented.
The event will start with a Meet and Greet at 5 p.m. with Coach Cooper being available during this time for pictures and autographs. Dinner will be served at 6 p.m.
Tickets are $25 and are currently available. There are a limited number of tickets and Chamber Director Whitney Thorne said they are expecting a sellout. Chamber members will have until Thursday, November 20, 2017 to purchase their tickers; afterward, ticket sales will open the event to the public.
