A man is facing many charges after reportedly stabbing two people in Homestead on Thanksgiving evening, police say.
It occurred on the 800 block of Northwest Fourth Avenue.
Authorities reported that both individuals had stab wounds. One victim was flown to Jackson South Medical Center, while the other was transported by Miami-Dade Fire Rescue to Baptist Health Homestead Hospital.
According to police, both are in stable condition.
Neighbors Maitee Gonzalez and Andrew Arzola claimed they were home watching TV when they heard the ambulances and cops.
Then, “we saw somebody come out on a stretcher,” Maitee Gonzalez reported.
“It felt like somebody got hurt,” Arzola said. “I felt nervous and scared at the same time, ’cause like, I’ve never seen anything like that before… it’s insane.”
The suspect fled the scene, but subsequent video shows a man being detained and taken into custody “without incident.”
Carlos Pastor-Carrillo, 34, faces charges including attempted third-degree murder, aggravated battery, aggravated assault, and cocaine possession. He was booked into the Turner Guilford Knight Correctional Center.
