Two people died after Columbus police responded to reports of a shooting north of the city on Tuesday morning.
According to Sgt. Joe Albert of the Columbus Division of Police, a man and a woman, later identified as Spencer Tepe, 37, and Monique Tepe, 39, were discovered dead with numerous gunshot wounds at a Weinland Park residence on the 1400 block of North 4th Street.
Albert told NBC4 that officers were dispatched to the apartment shortly before 10 a.m. to do a well-being check after one of the victims failed to show up for work earlier that morning. Two people were discovered deceased, and homicide detectives are currently investigating the situation.
Police are not sure what happened, but two youngsters under the age of six were found unharmed in the residence when officers arrived.
