A Mexican national will serve ten years in prison for trafficking meth in north Mississippi.
Arturo Bonilla, 48, received his sentence on Tuesday in federal court.
Tishomingo County sheriff’s officers and state troopers arrested him in 2021 after discovering he was in possession of the drug.
Federal authorities discovered that he was involved in the trafficking of at least 6 kilograms (13 pounds) of cocaine into Mississippi.
Investigators also discovered that he was in the US illegally. He will be deported to Mexico after serving his prison sentence.
