Police: Woman Shot In Face During Drive-by Shooting On Chicago’s West Side

A woman in critical condition has been hospitalized after being shot in the face during a drive-by shooting on Chicago’s West Side Thursday afternoon.

The shooting happened shortly after 1:30 p.m. on the 1600 block of South Menard Avenue, according to police.

According to Chicago police, the 31-year-old lady was standing on the sidewalk when a vehicle approached. Someone inside the vehicle pulled out a revolver and fired at her, injuring her in the face.

The woman was transported to Loyola University Medical Center, where she was classified in critical condition, authorities said.

No arrests have been made, and police have not provided a description of the suspect or vehicle. The investigation is underway.
