A 39-year-old woman was arrested after surveillance cameras outside an Orange County high school allegedly caught her stealing from a classroom.
According to a social media post by Irvine Police Department authorities, the alleged theft took place overnight on January 17 at Woodbridge High School in Irvine.
“Surveillance cameras captured a woman taking several items from a classroom and fleeing the scene,” investigators informed me.
Later that day, Walmart’s loss prevention team phoned Irvine police and reported that a lady had stolen from the store.
Police used the department’s Real Time Crime Center to fly a drone over the area and locate the woman, who was identified by one of the center’s analysts as the alleged suspect from Woodbridge High School.
Patrol officers approached Tanya Elaine Marsh, an Anaheim resident, and arrested her.
There was no information supplied regarding the items she allegedly stole from the school or about the purported merchandise stolen from the Walmart site.
