James A. Sisson, 76

James A. Sisson, 76, of Pomeroy passed away on Sunday, April 15, 2018 at his residence. He was born on January 8, 1942 in Pomeroy to the late Ralph and Alice (Cohen) Sisson.

Mr. Sisson worked at the G & J Parts Store for many years. He was a member of the Pomeroy Eagles Club #2171, a retired Pomeroy Firefighter and past Chief,he was a Pomeroy City Councilmen and a past Chief of the Pomeroy squad.

He is survived by his wife, Judy Sisson; daughters, Jamie (Dave) Deem, Julie (Bryan) Zirkle, Jodie (BJ) Nicholson; step-children, Debbie (Jeff) Wayland and Tom (Dawn) Werry; grandchildren, Jessica (Derek) Miller, Michael Blaettnar, JT (Heather) Evans, Jordan Evans, Wyatt Nicholson, Breanna Zirkle, and Taylor Werry; great grandson Issac Blaettnar; sister, Jane (Larry) Banks and Ed (Peggy) Sisson and several nieces and nephews.

He is preceded in death by his parents, brothers; Frank, John and Harold Sisson and granddaughter Emily Grace Deem.

A memorial service will be held on Thursday, April 19, 2018 at 2 p.m. at the Anderson McDaniel Funeral Home in Pomeroy with Pastor Randy Smith officiating. Visitation will be held one hour prior to the service.
