A 49-year-old woman was brought to the hospital after allegedly being shot by her boyfriend on Monday night.
Around 8:45 p.m., police were dispatched to a local hospital for a woman who had arrived with a gunshot wound.
According to Sgt. Roberta Baily of the Dayton Police Department, a 49-year-old woman suffered a gunshot wound to her back, and the accused shooter, a 49-year-old man, drove her to the hospital.
He was also treated for self-inflicted injuries on his finger.
Police stated that the two were in a “domestic relationship.”
The incident was located in the 1900 block of East Third Street.
Following treatment, the suspect was brought into Montgomery County Jail on counts of felonious assault and domestic violence.
