Friends of Rutland to hold school supply drive

RUTLAND, Ohio – Friends of Rutland Committee on Community Improvement is sponsoring a back-to-school drive to prepare for a back-to-school bash tentatively scheduled for August 20, 2018.

The organization is seeking school supplies to distribute to children participating in the bash. All donated school supplies will be accepted, however, the supplies that would be most helpful include number two pencils, glue sticks (liquid glue not preferred), fiskar scissors, loose-leaf paper, binders and tab dividers, notebooks (both wide-ruled and college-ruled), crayons, composition books, pocket folders, cap erasers, index cards and highlighters.

All items may be dropped off at the Rutland Clerk-Treasurer’s Office, located in the Rutland Civic Center, every Wednesday from 10 a.m. – 6 p.m. The drive will end on Wednesday, August 15, 2018 with items being collected for organization at 6:00 p.m.
