Missing 9-year-old Located In Baltimore After 6 Months

A 9-year-old boy who had been missing for nearly six months was discovered by Baltimore Police on Friday after a multi-agency investigation, according to Mayor Brandon Scott.

Tristan King, nine, has been missing since September 24, 2025. According to the mayor, he was discovered at a property in the Curtis Bay neighborhood after the police department’s Missing Persons Unit received a report.

King was brought to a hospital for medical and psychiatric assessments. “Today, Maryland breathes a sigh of relief that Tristan King has been found after months of fear, heartbreak, and uncertainty,” Governor Wes Moore declared. “The first priority now is making sure Tristan is safe, supported, and surrounded by the care he needs to begin healing.”

According to our friends at The Baltimore Banner, King was discovered less than two miles from where he went missing last year. King was initially lost by the Maryland Department of Human Services, according to the Banner. The agency will choose King’s future destination, according to the Banner. “We owe Tristan action, not excuses, and we will continue to work to ensure that no child falls through the cracks like this again,” Gov. Moore said in a statement.

According to Mayor Scott, the inquiry is active and ongoing. Individuals who may have assisted in concealing King or obstructing law enforcement face potential accusations.

The U.S. Marshals Service and other local and federal partners participated with the investigation, according to city officials.
