Police arrested a man on Tuesday for allegedly shooting at a car and hitting a 10-year-old over the weekend.
According to authorities, the 10-year-old was shot in west Toledo on Saturday afternoon and had minor injuries.
Jeronica Phillips, 56, fired multiple shots at the vehicle near North Byrne Road and Avondale Avenue, according to an affidavit. He is charged with felonious assault and discharging a handgun on or near forbidden grounds.
During the shooting, the van was also carrying two 55-year-olds and a 6-year-old. They were not hit or wounded.
On Wednesday, a Toledo Municipal Court judge set Phillips’ bond at $250,000.
