A Homewood woman who pleaded guilty to killing another woman with a pocketknife has been sentenced.
Maurissa Plummer pled guilty to fatally stabbing Raniesha Scott.
According to court documents, a judge sentenced Plummer to up to ten years in jail on Tuesday.
She will serve a year on probation after her release.
In October 2024, police found Scott stabbed in the chest on Lyric Street.
According to investigators, the stabbing occurred during an incident between the two women.
