Man wanted for several years in three counties apprehended in Hanover: officials

A man wanted on eight warrants from Perry, York, and Adams counties was apprehended in Hanover on March 12, according to police.

Deputies from the York County Sheriff’s Office responded to the 1st block of East Chestnut Street, and, while speaking with a family member, saw Sutherland go to the back of the apartment and leap from a second-story window onto a concrete sidewalk below.

Sutherland has been wanted since 2022, according to authorities.

According to the sheriff’s office, Sutherland was captured after a short foot chase.

Sutherland was wanted for the following, according to the police:

  • Perry County MDJ Criminal Warrant: Statutory Sexual Assault
  • Perry County Court of Common Pleas Bench Warrant: False ID
  • Adams County Court of Common Pleas Bench Warrant: Miscellaneous Docket
  • York County MDJ Criminal Warrant: Terroristic Threats
  • York County MDJ Criminal Warrant: Access Device Fraud
  • York County Court of Common Pleas Bench Warrant: Possession Small Amount Marijuana
  • York County Court of Common Pleas Bench Warrant: Criminal Trespass
  • York County Court of Common Please Bench Warrant: Criminal Trespass
