A man wanted on a murder charge in New York was apprehended by Waterbury police earlier this month, they announced.
Police identified the suspect as 27-year-old Malik Williams.
Williams has an active arrest warrant out of New York for second-degree murder charges.
They stated that they executed a search warrant on March 13 to obtain him.
According to police, Williams was arrested by officers from the United States Marshals Service and the Emergency Regional Response Team.
They said he was also charged with tampering with an officer due to his actions during the apprehension attempt.
The details of the murder have not been revealed.
