Discovery of skeletal remains being investigated by Meigs County Sheriff’s Office
POMEROY, Ohio – Skeletal human remains have been discovered according to the Meigs County Sheriff’s Office.
According to a statement from Meigs County Sheriff Keith Wood, deputies have been on the scene where the remains were discovered off of Flood Road in Pomeroy, Ohio. The discovered was made after someone had been hiking in the woods off of Flood Road where the unidentified male came across what he believed to be human skeletal remains. That person then contacted the Meigs County Sheriff’s Office. Deputies responded and have been on scene to secure it while awaiting a team from Ohio BCI. A search warrant for the property was obtained and law enforcement continue to work on the discovery.
