Central Florida Man Won a $1 Million Prize From Scratch-Off

The Florida Lottery announced that Wendell Jackson of Hillsborough County won a $1 million prize in the 500X The Cash scratch-off game.

The Central Florida man chose to receive his winnings in a single, lump-sum payment of $640,000.

The Thonotosassa winner acquired his winning ticket at 301 Petrol Mart, which is located at 11511 U.S. Highway 301 N. in Thonotosassa, near Tampa.

He claimed his winnings at the lottery offices in Tallahassee.

The $50 500X The Cash scratch-off game provides an opportunity to win big, with a top reward of $25 million. According to the Florida Lottery, only one top prize and 39 $1 million awards remain.

With over $1.66 billion in total cash prizes available and an overall chance of 1-in-4.23, this is one of the most thrilling ways to win an instant prize.

Scratch-off games are a key part of the Lottery’s range of games, accounting for over 74% of ticket sales in fiscal year 2023-2024.
